Here are the pics and some memories from my trip to Alaska from May 13th to Jun 26th 1998. The trip was made possible (and the only reason it happened) THANKS to my Baby…Jamie!

Summer
Trip to Alaska
OK, here we are, me on the left, Jamie in the middle and Mike on the right. |
Here, there's the view from the hotel room for my first three days in Alaska. It's a montain (as you can see) in the Alyeska Resort, and if you watch carefully you'll see the "Seven Glacier" restaurant (nice place to eat, but must have the reservation. (of course my Baby took me there) |
This is me in the Alaskan snow (May 14th) |
While we were at the Alyeska Prince Hotel, we went for a trip to Portage Glacier, and here's the pic! |
Here are some mountainviews. |
I am too lame to remember the names of the mountains. |
But they're pretty neat, huh? |
OK, this is a typical traffic sign in Alaska. (There are more sign like this than speed limit signs) Can you tell that there are A LOT of mooses around there? |
I was pretty amused by how much the bar owners care about people not driving when they're buzzed. (Or there is some connections between bar owners and Taxi drivers?) |
This is the Seward marina (144 miles from Anchorage). |
A pretty cool place to visit in Seward is that kind of Acquarium that they have. You can see all kinds of marine life of Alaska, and that place is also a resarch center and hospital for animals. (At the time the center was not completely finished) |
I took the pic of this lake by Seward Highway cause I think it looks pretty. |
Another pic from our trip to Seward. Some creek. (the pic was taken while we were hauling ass, so it may look a little bit fuzzy) |
One of the common sights when you're driving through Anchorage. (I think this picture was taken at about 10 pm, amazing huh?) |
Another "Urban Mountainview" |
…and another one… |
This is a pic of the beginning of Matanuska Valley, known for the produces that "feed" Anchorage. |
…and also known for the great "Matanuska Thunderfuck" the weed grown there. |
Another pic of Matanuska river that flows through the Matanuska Valley |
…and of course the Matanuska Glacier |
OK…another mountainview… |
…and an urban mountainview… |
Here you can see an alaskan garden (if you enlarge this pic) |
…and this is Travis (Jamie's brother in law and really cool guy) in his garden (the pic above) |
This is Spenard Lake, I've been told that it's the biggest water airport in the world (of course on the pic you can see just a small part of it). |
And this is my Sweetie in front of Santa's house (North Pole, Alaska) |
And this is a HUGE Santa placed in Santa Claus lane near his house. (all the letters from U.S. kids addressed to Santa Claus come to this address) |
Rob, AKA Rabbit (in the middle) lives 1 mile from Santa's house. He was our host in North Pole. |
Some river between North Pole and Anchorage |
And did you know that Batman lives there too? (Hopefully he was not at home while we did this pic) |
There is also a huge fake igloo on that road too. |
Another urban mountainview |
…and another one! |
A pic of me on Jun 21st taken at MIDNIGHT!! | ||
…and the sadest pic….leaving Anchorage |
…and the most annoying one…I was staring at this for the whole night on the train station in Venice, and met there Sue that had a phone card and saved my life. |
That's about it! I took A LOT of pics, but this is my selection for YOU!!
